The Great Book Swap

This year there were 207 books swapped by students during The Great Book Swap for Indigenous Literacy Day and $189.00 raised through a gold coin donation. Later in the day a further $149.35 was donated by parents when they attended the RE Concert. This included two $50 donations by individual parents. Altogether, $338.35 was raised to help the Indigenous Literacy Foundation reach their goal of raising $200,000 to buy 20,000 books for children in remote Australian communities. Although we fell short of our own goal of $400, it does provide a target to work towards next year.
